Leagues

This golf league is for all women golfers who enjoy playing a lightly competitive round of 9 holes of golf in a variety of formats. It is a shotgun start at 8:55, 9:25 or 10:00 a.m. depending on the month and format. Weekly sign up is on Foretees and the proshop makes the pairings. Whether you are new to the game, or looking forward to another season, step up to the fun and friendly TML and sign up for the season and/or luncheon on ForeTees. Beginners are welcome!

TNT is a great way for new members to meet other golfers and share in the camaraderie of golf and dinner every Tuesday night. This evening golf league is for men who come out after work in the afternoon and early evening. Players in this league can tee off between 3:00-6:00 p.m. and the golf pro shop with help with pairings. The goal of this Gentlemen's League is to promote camaraderie while enjoying a comfortable, competitive atmosphere in which to play the game we love. Our 35th season is upon us. The opening night of the league is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 27th . All play will start after 3:00 p.m. unless previously approved. This league is for women of all levels and abilities who generally cannot participate in the morning leagues. This league features a team format with varying games each week. Players in this league can tee off between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. with the Golf Shop assisting in making the pairings. Sign up on ForeTees.

The ROBs is a golf league of men 55 and over which has been in existence at Albany Country Club for over 30 years. Goodwill and camaraderie mixed with a periodic "good shot" are our stated objectives. In addition to the weekly competitive golf, punctuated by a social occasion or two, our golf season is highlighted by our home and away tournament with Wolfert's Roost's ROBs. The league uses a shotgun start on Thursday mornings at either 8:30 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. and features an individual competition. Pairings are made by the Golf Shop on the day of the league. Both men and women are welcome as well as singles and couples.

This year the Golf Shop is trying something different on Friday nights. One Friday night a month we will be holding a unique event designed for players of all abilities to enjoy. The events will be 9 holes using a 5:30 p.m. shotgun with an optional buffet following play. Members may bring guests with the guest fees waived. Players can form their own groups or ask the Golf Shop for help in getting paired up. Entry for the events will be $10 per player, but optional side games will also be available. Event formats will be emailed a few weeks prior to the event.
